a forum for discussing the future of this spectacular, incredible, once-in-a-generation media company / private club for the rich and famous / grand criminal enterprise
I love Pirate Wires because it’s unabashedly pro Human and pro Liberty.
If humans do something good, you’re happy to say that it’s good. It’s not followed up with “but it remains to be seen how this change will impact the local salmon population.” You also don’t even do the thing where you lament that if only people would just not have any choices that aren’t your exact preferred choice, the world would be so much better.

Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback. I enjoyed the diverse range of topics and the based perspectives. In the future, I would love to see more timeless pieces (less news) as well as more collaboration with other writers/thought leaders. I also found that the headlines can be a bit clickbaity, but I guess thats part of the game. Looking forward!
I haven't been a paid subscriber for too long but man I love everything so far. Love the idea of the community ideas that makes content more exclusive and unique. Can't wait for where you take this next!
Would love to see you use the new SS Letters feature to engage with writers who disagree with you. (I’m less sure if doing so with those who vehemently disagree is all that helpful. I really mean those who share—or at least broadly respect—your ideological temperament, but who may interpret some stories and facts differently, where a non-antagonistic back-and-forth can give readers more to chew on.)
Put most of my stuff in the google form but I think that pw’s success is indicative of the right kind of media coming at the right time, the high standards of it are a nice break.
The only other thing I would say is that going deeper on stories is the only thing missing, Anton’s post was a good example of what a ‘feature’ should look like (really looking forward to those!)
I’d like to see all of us dissidents become more action oriented in 2023. We know the absurdities that have taken over the institutions. How do we hold them accountable, reform the institutions, or build new ones? Tomorrow I’ll be posting some predications and reflections on what I called correctly in 2022.
Found you via a profile in Reason. Haven’t felt a single twinge of disappointment yet, and these days, that’s saying a lot. No, seriously, keep up the thoughtful analysis. You’re a unicorn!
I'm here for the post-tribalism. It seems like 80% of stuff that gets written on the internet is just tribal signalling: "I once again pledge fealty to the tribe." Maybe another 15% is intra-tribe platform negotiation: "Our position on issue X should be Y".
At its best PW goes beyond that and talks about social issues without a tribal subtext. Sometimes it's digging into just how and why we're so deeply fucked. Sometime it's noticing some promising development or a sliver of hope that others have missed. Yes, please.
You have a refreshing, irreverent, writing style and set of opinions that helped my escape the trap of my tribe. And you are gay. And hot. So 🤷♂️
Frankly, I don't find the guest posts as interesting a read - even if the topics are worthwhile. If you add more contributors, I would advise really being careful about style selection.
I subscribe for your personal viewpoint. Full stop

Big Solana fans in this household.
I unironically appreciate how you crap from a great height on people/institutions/vibes that I also dislike. I am very petty.
(Pretend I wrapped that up in some more cromulent verbiage)
Can you please unblock me from Twitter? Ive been a subscriber since the single digits and I have no idea what I did to piss you off. @OneAyeKing
Just here for the Solana thirst traps

A Discord server would be great fun. I bet this crew would result in a satisfyingly heterodox shitposting swirl.
I’m sure I’d learn much.
Happy Christmas and to a great New Year.

I love everything pirate wires, it’s a nice reminder that not all is lost and some critical thinkers still exist. happy holidays
Loved: open threads, Dark Plots and Secret Explanations, Choose Good Quests, Elite, Debt Babies
Hated: the twitter files posts. formatting was worse than the originals imo
More of: counter-narratives and secret explanations
Also reading: simon sarris, tyler cowen, ordinary plots by devin kelly
Question for Mike: is America really in decline, or are we actually crushing it?
the report of America's illness grew out of the world's illness. the report of her death was an exaggeration

I would like to hear about what you're reading, fiction and non-fiction. Classics, new stuff, whatever.
