Space is hard ... but worth it. No surprise people on Twitter are nattering about StarShip being kaput. Back in the 50s the headlines were constantly whining "why do our rockets always blow up?" as NASA was working out the kinks.

70s SciFiArt is a great account, btw. Been following them a while to find art for my own essays.

The music development is not a white pill in my opinion whatsoever. I like having humans create art. We already have an overabundance of entertainment (its literally killing us healthwise) and we have major dearth of Truth or Trust in society. Any and all artificial music/video developments are terrifying and soon we may be voting for grammy winners and presidential candidates that dont even exist. Its anti-human to the core. We need reality, not novelty. Reality is the only thing that can stop our minds and societies from unraveling

I'm a new reader. I enjoyed your link to @heyBarsee. I've seen some experiments with ChatGPT where it returns only woke-curated answers, I.e. it is not a neutral information summarizer. I wonder if you have already commented on that?

The quantum observer stuff is really just about outside parties interacting with a system in a way that makes it measurable. Deeply weird but you don’t need a set of human eyeballs there.
