Volcanoes are a bigger wildcard than asteroids though. After all, volcanoes are thought to have caused most mass extinctions. What is the asteroid equivalent of 1816, the Year Without a Summer?

Regarding an ultrasound device that increases chemotherapeutics in brains, I wonder if the technique will also benefit Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s patients.

The electrodialysis carbon removal is cool and all - the Navy did this as a pilot around 2010 to make synthetic jet fuel, but the “powered by renewable energy” part is pure press release horseshit. Using CA grid electricity is going to be astronomically costly and it won’t make any financial sense unless they get cracking on coupling it with advanced nuclear. As nuclear has been criminalized by our overlords, nothing will come of this project except more Vinod Khosla style money immolation and scorn from the greens who hate new technology of all kinds.
