Abolish ICE! (So You Can Get Your $10 Burrito at Midnight)Oct 20
migrants keep yuppies fed while liberals romanticize the hustle of their tired african burrito messengers, ignoring the exploitation going on behind the scenes

On October 21, a commercial truck collided with an SUV along Interstate 10 a few miles east of Los Angeles. The dashcam footage instantly went viral: we witness the final moments of husband and wife Clarence and Lisa Nelson as their vehicle, stopped in traffic, is vaporized by the truck. Its driver? A 21-year-old illegal immigrant from India, Jashanpreet Singh, who didn’t stop or even attempt to slow down before impact.
In August, Harjinder Singh, an Indian migrant who entered America illegally in 2018 and was (again, illegally) issued a commercial driver’s license by both Washington and California, attempted to execute an illegal U-turn with a semi across the Florida turnpike. Failing to check before making the turn, Mr. Singh pulled his truck right in front of a minivan doing 70pmh that had no chance to slow down or stop. The impact instantly killed all three people in the minivan. An image of Singh standing next to his truck, showing what many saw as no remorse, went viral along with dashcam footage and a video of Singh struggling to speak English to police.
Not being able to communicate with police is one thing, but if you can’t speak English you probably can’t read American road signs.

On March 13, a recent arrival from Ethiopia, Solomun Weldekeal Araya, was driving a rig pulling a trailer for Amazon. He crashed through 17 stopped vehicles before finally coming to a halt on Interstate 35 in Austin, Texas, killing five people.
On November 9, ICE arrested an Uzbeki illegal migrant and wanted terrorist driving an 18-wheeler in Kansas. He’d been caught and released in 2023 at the border; he was then given a commercial driver’s license in Pennsylvania.
On November 22, the Wyoming Department of Transportation removed 40 illegal migrants operating big rigs. One of them had previous sexual assault convictions and had been deported twice; another had been deported five times.
What in the hell is going on in trucking?
I’ve been trucking across North America for over 25 years. For those of us in the industry, incidents like these are just another Tuesday. In 2023, the Center for Migration Studies counted over 200,000 undocumented workers in trucking and related fields. Others claim we’re dealing with as many as 600,000. It’s likely that ~10-20% of drivers operating big rigs on our roads are here illegally.¹
