Are entrepreneurs… kind of fascist? In new reporting from WIRED, the crackpot team behind ‘two homos shaking hands, but make their dicks hands,’ we discover both Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey are using AI to closely manage their team. This on the heels of chilling reporting from The Economist, which headlined its recent story on AI with CEOs maintaining “god-like” control of artificial intelligence, which was just to say — literally just this — they are CEOs of AI companies, which means they are in charge of those companies. I do think it’s notable most writers, and increasingly most urban Democrats, are insulated from reality to such a degree that the notion a CEO controls his company is actually considered frightening, rather than how this has worked through all recorded history. Anyway, thanks for keeping an eye out, guys. I’ll take your findings to the committee that doesn’t run Pirate Wires and never will.

This weekend, Palantir published key takeaways from CEO Alex Karp’s book The Technological Republic, such as: Silicon Valley is morally obligated to participate in our defense; someone is going to build “AI weapons” (it should be us); we have to stop turning to the political arena to nourish our souls; and not all cultures are equal. “Some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive,” the company tweeted on Saturday. Cue the anti-Palantir slopulism (a robust category of slop), with some decrying the excerpts as a terrifying display of “hard-right nationalism.” First of all, leftists believe our culture is regressive and harmful. It’s literally in the manual of leftism. Second, more “brown bodies” die from collateral damage when the army is using spreadsheets to coordinate targeting. Pick a lane, people. You literally have to pick between the white nationalism company (read: software provider) and mass incompetence.

Gautham Sampath has pleaded not guilty to money laundering charges after being accused of working with Hong Peng — an IT manager for LA Unified School District — to orchestrate a multi-million dollar “pay-to-play” scheme, in which Peng directed vast sums of district money to Sampath’s firm in exchange for kickbacks. Though Sampath insists on his innocence, a hilarious text exchange has since been revealed showing him asking Peng “What r the opportunities in LAUSD. That we can exploit,” followed by “Delete all watsup chats… if anyone sees the texts about these internal things it will be a prb.” A prb indeed, as homie now faces a lengthy prison sentence, but here, I see an opportunity for common ground with LAUSD teachers who recently went on strike (again) demanding more pay. Want that ridiculous totally-deserved six-figure salary? Don’t blame “corporate greed” or “the patriarchy” or whatever — join us in calling out the illiterate fraudsters robbing your employer blind.
