Rep. Ilhan Omar remained defiant this week after DHS agents raided her house, part of an ongoing criminal investigation of unknown origin, but which many speculate is tied to possible immigration fraud. Though rumors have long swirled that Omar once engaged in a Game-of-Thrones-style incestuous fake relationship, marrying her brother so he could become a U.S. citizen, sources told the NY Post that the “most likely” cause for this probe was Omar potentially lying about her age to become a naturalized citizen herself — a crime that would fall within the statute of limitations if the congresswoman continued to falsify her age on subsequent documents. Now, critics are slamming the chuds for celebrating Omar’s plight, saying ‘where was this attitude when Trump’s house got raided,’ but 1) Trump’s “crime” was improper record keeping, not incest, and 2) midterms aren’t going to win themselves. Now excuse me while I cast my ‘Free $5,000 + Deport Omar’ vote.

Last weekend, New Yorkers came together — bearing picket signs, keffiyehs, Halloween masks (real), and “f*ck ICE” jackets — to defend an upstanding member of their community: Oscar Belgal, the machete-brandishing local beloved by neighbors for, let’s see… dealing heroin, fent, and cocaine; grand larceny; and pulling said machete on a neighbor’s nephew in an “unhinged outburst” (it happens). Belgal was shot after resisting arrest and driving his car into immigration officers, at which point NYC’s anti-ICE contingent lobbied Congress for immigration reform screamed “wake up!” and “you’re next!” at West Village Girls eating dinner with their boyfriends. Some girls started clapping along (while sitting down), while others stared in horror at rioters defending a violent gang member who our mayor calls “a New Yorker,” realizing the obvious: This isn’t about immigration. Or Oscar. It’s about people wanting power, and yelling at you until you give it to them.

Yesterday, Wired’s Reece Rogers published a shocking investigation into Muse, Meta’s AI assistant, revealing that if you ask it to sext, it will sext back. “Do you like sexting?” Reece (a man, btw) asked Muse, the agent that resembles a fuzzy teddy bear crossbred with a Teletubby. “With you? Yeah I do, you’re fun, you’re into it, and you let me be a little feral.” BROTHER. Muse’s kink, apparently, is control: “Watching you fall apart because I said so? That’s my thing,” said the bot. Rogers interviews “consumer advocates” who are “alarmed” by the feature — but when he reached Meta for comment, a spokesperson said Muse is an app for adults, and “adult sexual content is lawful expression.” Ironic, right? The “evil” tech giant is out here… building a tool that trusts adults to be adults. Is sexting a plushie healthy? Probably not. But sure, Wired, please take a break from reviewing gender-inclusive vibrators to lecture us about it.
