tech companies give the government, historically dumb and slow, cutting-edge tools to enforce the law of the land. don't like it? change the law, don't blame the toolmakers.

Special delivery for the Pirate Nation: we just dropped my interview with Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril Industries. I’m proud of the final product, and excited to share it with you all today. You can watch it here, or in the video I’ve embedded below.
In a little over an hour, Palmer and I discuss: the legal mechanics of international defense contracting, the (brief) ins and outs of defense contracting here at home (“cost plus” vs. the Anduril model), new threats on the horizon from hardware to bio, the navigation of subterranean war (with special consideration of Gaza), the Iron Dome, America’s gutted manufacturing capacity, what that means in the context of conflict with China, chips, and trade (yes, TikTok should be banned, but not for the reason you think).
Check it out, and let me know what you think. Also, if you haven’t already, please subscribe to the channel, like the video as an offering to YouTube’s algorithm, and comment. I know you hear this phrasing a lot, but that’s because it’s important. If you love what we’re doing here at Pirate Wires, these small gestures truly do provide a ton of lift.
