Socialism Is Coming to a City Hall Near YouJun 25
nyc, la, dc, and seattle are all falling to so-called 'sewer socialism' as the barista class increasingly takes over the soul of the democratic party

To all the haters who said socialists can’t govern, take it back. Things are going swimmingly for Supreme Leader Zohran Mamdani of the Democratic Republic of New York City. The rich are being successfully eaten, the government grocery stores are well on their way, and New Yorkers will live happily ever after.
Haha just kidding. The past two weeks in NYC have been a showcase of the weak grasp democratic socialists seem to have on the practical implications of their own agenda.
Last week, Mamdani insisted that his grocery stores — which are meant to price a basket of staple goods 30% below retail — are “for New Yorkers to be able to put food on the table, not a program for people to be able to make a quick buck through.” When asked how he would prevent people from taking advantage of probably the most brilliant arbitrage opportunity in New York City grocery history, an official floated the idea of a “library card-esque thing,” for which he was roundly mocked because it would make Mamdani Marts more secure than voting in New York.
Officials later said that was totally wrong, and that the stores would be open to everyone and require no ID, but would offer an optional customer card program (to help stop resellers, but only if they agree to be stopped).
