New norm just dropped
The power of the pen
Born in the USA
Yesterday, hours before President Trump ascended the Iron Throne, former President Biden preemptively pardoned Mark Milley, Liz Cheney, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and several more members of his family from every crime they may or may not have committed over the past decade. Biden’s camp declared this a matter of necessity, given Trump is gunning for revenge, while detractors argued Fauci literally perjured himself, and Milley seems to have committed treason. In any case, I’ve argued this was coming for months. Once the courts were weaponized, there was no turning back for either party. Lawfare is permanently on the table now, and pardons are our politicians’ only defense. Unless this latest crop is struck down, our new “norm” moving forward will be every president preemptively pardoning himself, his family, and everyone he’s ever worked with — a whole new class of American, in other words, officially immune to law. Farewell, Joe. What a legacy.

Born in the USA
Following an eventful few days — from dancing on stage with The Village People (this man has never been happier) to singing “God Bless America” acapella with Carrie Underwood — President Trump flicked his pen and eliminated birthright citizenship. The move will now face legal challenges, just as Obama’s DACA EO wound up in court (where it has remained for 16 years). B...
