wherein sydney, who evidently has a voluptuous iq, stares into the depths of a gotcha reporter's soul instead of apologizing for being hot

“Think you know sports? Prove it,” says the sultry voice of Sydney Sweeney, moments before a camera pan-out showing the Euphoria actress entirely nude, using only a pair of footballs to cover her gigantic money makers that protrude underneath the pigskin in an almost comical display of hypersexualization, the likes of which only the most depraved of anime artists would think to draw.
“Just you… your takes… and sports.”

This, I learn after watching the segment 16 times while hoping for a Tom Brady Deflate-gate situation, remembering on the final watch that words are being spoken, is an ad for Novig — a “sports trading app for true fans” that operates as a prediction market, one of many new online pocket casinos cleverly rebranding the concept of gambling as my fellow zoomers chase over/under bets on random NBA games into a black hole of bankruptcy.
But it isn’t a moral panic over gambling that now has critics (once again) losing their minds over Sweeney whipping out the tatas like Janet Jackson. Or at least, not entirely.
The primary critique Sydney haters have is that this Novig ad is… somehow setting back women’s sports?
